My Janome Sewist 780DC will not pick up the bobbin thread. I have replaced the needle and made sure the reel of thread and the bobbin thread are the same.
What else can I try?

You can try to remove the cam, then removed the casing for the bobbin. There are 2 levers on each site to release this. Now do a good cleaning. Put back the housing. Turn the wheel and check to see if this moves from right to left as the needle moves up and down.
