I have a JD345 that was running and no longer will start. Spark occurs at both plugs and are new. The fuel pump seems to draw in fuel, but nothing. I poured a very small amount of fuel in the carb and the engine did run, but then shut off again. Any thoughts?

How long has the mower sat with the gas in the tank? If you have dirty gas in the tank it can clog the fuel line, filter and carburetor. You also need to check the solenoids on the mower to make sure they are good and don't need to be swapped out.
If the gas is from last season and you did not have additive added then you may have clogged the jets in your carburetor. If the battery does not seem to be part of the problem (any auto parts store will check it for you) then you might try using some carburetor cleaner. Always check your air filter as your mower will not run with a dirty filter.

Sounds like you have a carburetor and battery problem, that is keeping your mower from running. You may also want to check your filter.
