I have a John Deere L 120 that won't crank. I put a new battery in and can hear it trying to crank, but it doesn't. I removed the started and kept it wired; the starter spins. How do I make sure the engine is not seized and is there another possible cause or a way to manually roll the engine over?

It almost sounds like the fuel line is clogged or you can have an issue with your spark plugs. If you have left gas in the mower when it was stored you'll need to flush the engine and gas lines and start again.
