I have a John Deere LA145, I've owned it since 2009. It used to work just fine, that is until I parked it a few years ago. I took it out last year and worked on it a little. My grandmother and I completely took apart the carburetor, cleaned it, and cleaned the air filter and still nothing.
At this point I'm about ready to just buy a new riding mower. But I have tried everything and it feels like and I have put too much money into it to just give up on it. If someone could please just help me, I would very much appreciate it. P.S. I have changed the battery, spark plugs, gas pump and filter, oil filter, and all of the belts.

It seems like you have done everything so far. There are two things that you need to check. Under the seat is a switch, try to reset this one and also check your starter switch to make sure you are getting contact.
