I have a JD L130. I have a new battery, that I bought last month. There is also a new fuse, new safety switch on the brake, and had my starter tested (it's good). However my engine won't start or click. Sometimes I get the display to light up. Any ideas?

Even though the battery is new the alternator can be damaged and not charge the battery when the mower is running. I would try to jump start the battery and then try to start the mower. If this is not working then there is an electrical short in the starter switch that needs to be addressed. If you do not get a display on the mower each time the key is turned the battery is low and there isn't enough power to start the mower.
Check the alternator or the starter. This happens a fair amount.
My JD L110 Mower was the same and it was the Ignition Switch New $38 but I disassembled it and the brass contact inside the switch had come out of it's slot and not connecting to the battery contact. No tools needed just a small blade screwdriver to release the plastic clips "that's on the underside " opposite the key.
