To keep cucumbers fresh and crisp, I wrap them in a paper towel before putting them in the refrigerator. They keep so much longer this way. This cucumber has been in the refrigerator for 5 days.

Only learned this hack a short while back. Also works great for lettuce, celery AND tomatoes :)
I wrap my celery(really well) in heavy duty foil and it lasts for a good amount of time.
Is the paper towel dampened?
No. I wrapped them in a dry paper towel and put them back into the produce bag. Everything is dry.
We are getting some cucumbers out of the garden now and I put them in a plastic bag with paper towels in the bag. It has helped to keep them fresh and crisp for days.
