Save old whole lemons or use lemon peels and whole limes or just the peels and orange peels. Cut them up and store in a bag in the freezer. Use one a week or when your disposal needs freshening up!
I thaw them for a few minutes before putting one down the disposal with the water on. Run the disposal for about 30 seconds. The smell is so fresh!
