We downsized and moved into a camper (which we love). One of my biggest complaints was because of the humidity, the salt would get clumpy up both in the shaker and also the salt container. I tried putting rice in the shaker, but that didn't help much and didn't help with the salt container.
My wonderful husband suggested putting rice in a Ziploc bag and storing the shaker and salt container inside the Ziploc bag. To my amazement it works great! My salt flows great now.

I'll have to pass this tip on to our daughter who lives at the beach.
She also has a problem with the salt and has rice in the shaker. This sounds like it would work much better.
If you ever get anything with the tiny round plastic container of silica, you can put one of those in your salt shaker. I also have put one in each of my spice shakers of: onion salt, garlic salt, lemon pepper, and seasoned salt.
