I turn every thing that is a dark color inside -out before putting it in the washing machine, I find that this keeps lint from clinging to the item.

Wash with other dark colors. Dont include fuzzy fabrics, or anything that will shed.

Always wash dark clothes with dark clothes - there is really no exception (that I am aware of).
- Turn your dark clothes inside out for best results as this also keeps them from the natural process of fading a little each time they are laundered.
- Never add anything to the load that is remotely "fuzzy" even if it is a dark color.
- Use cold water for wash and rinse and add 1 cup of white vinegar to the final rinse.
- If you do not have sufficient dark clothes for a load, try washing your polo shirt in a small tub of plain water with a small amount of liquid detergent (maybe 1 tablespoon).
- Wet it in tub and leave it soak for about 15 minutes, then squish it up and down to remove any dirt or perspiration - do not wring as this will stretch your shirt and also put hard to remove wrinkles.
- Rinse until water runs clear, then add water and add 1/4 cup white vinegar and squish several time before discarding water.
- You can then hang shirt on a plastic coat hanger to drip dry (open shower works for this). smooth out any wrinkles as it dries and put in dryer (still damp) with a couple of pieces of clean dry dark clothes (from your closet).
