Keeping Pill Bugs as Pets?

I recently got four pill bugs and I know that they are nocturnal, but they have been kinda inactive even though all my lights are out and its night time. They have been sitting on the underside of an orange peel like they were when it was morning and only moved to check out the apple I brought them.

Roly Pollies are not always active when you see them sometimes they just sit there . You can also have a habitat that is a place where they like to rest .

My rolypolys like to sit on the grass that I gave them and they don't move that much either. Did you give it water? If you didn't, just get one of those spray bottles and spray some mist. I put two sprays.

I just got two rolypolys a day ago. I didn't know about the water thing so one of my rolypolys got dehydrated and died.. You should try to give them some grass, leaves, potatoes, and carrots.

I just got 2 roly polys a day ago. They were just standing there like the whole time. At first I didn't know what they drank so I asked my friend and she said to get one of those spray bottle things but it was to late and one of them died. Also try feeding them fish food, fresh vegetables, and believe it or not cardboard. btw my roly poly's names r marshmellow and speckles. speckles died.

If you get rollie pollies, don't be a dumb owner. Before getting or ordering ANY pet, do LOTS of reaserch!!!!

I study roly polllies and if they aren't moving they are sick or dieing so try picking one up and holding it because when I did that mine crawled all over me.

It's because they're trying to save moisture from their bodies. Make sure it's slightly moist

Sometimes they do eat certain vegetables. I keep some in a tank with snails and while they leave most of the vegetables I put in there alone and stick to their rotting twigs most of the time, I have found them going bonkers over celery and carrot.

Your rollie pollies are probably inactive due to the fact that they do not like oranges at all! I seggust you feed them potato and baby carrot. And, if you are keeping rollie pollies, do more reaserch!

I personaly have lots of experience with rollie pollie pets, so be a little more aware of what your bug needs. :)
