My American Bulldog is chewing on her bed. She doesn't do it often, but when she does it's bad! So I took away her bed in her cage and her regular bed in my room. What can I do to prevent this? And how long should I punish her?

You can try spraying bitter apple on the bed and the pup will get the idea this is not a chew toy. We only do this as a last resort. It usually works after 1-2 times.
I hope it works for you.
It is a fact that dogs love to chew. You need to have plenty of chew toys around for your dog. When they start to chew on beds or what ever else around your home you need to give them a chew toy and teach them that they should chew on this.
This dog is stressed and needs more to do.
Chew toys are an obvious thing, but i also think she needs more exercise. Especially considering the breed - if she's not getting at least a good hour of exercise a day (walks, etc) then she's on her way to being highly neurotic and it is a blessing that her only neurosis is chewing up the bed v.
