When services can be interrupted, it's scary to not be able to see what you are doing. In Dec of 2018, my senior community lost power from 1am to 11am. We were cold and without a way to even have a coffee. Too many of us are in that stage where we fall easy enough in the daytime.
I had a flashlight in the pantry, beside the big chair in the living room, and in the bathroom. But I didn't have one close to me for if it went out during the night. I kind of needed a flashlight to get to my other flashlights!
So today, I make a simple paperclip hook and hung my dollar tree lantern on it. This means I can literally stand up and have light within about 2 feet from me. From there, I can get to all the other flashlights. It makes me feel safer and that is a good thing.
I hope this helps some of you.
NOTE: It's a good idea to check the batteries once a month. I do it when I get paid. I just turn each one on and if it works, great. If not, I am always at the Dollar Tree anyway!
N-JOY!
NOTE 2: I just tried to find the lamp on their site. I can't find it but I do know they have them in the hardware section, with light bulbs and such. I hope that helps.

I keep solar lights from Dollar Tree sitting, ground spikes removed, in cups near all my lamps and two apartment window sources. If the power fails, there is adequate lighting to get me safely through my apartment.
That is a brillient idea! You should post it here. Thanks so much.
