How can I keep my trailer cool in summer time with only 2 box fans and no AC unit?

You could also watch YouTube tutorials, many share their journey while living full time in a mobile home so that may help your mobile home for the summer, their tricks and tips.
I would put heat blocking shades on the windows. Put one fan in the window drawing the air in and the other fan in the other window drawing the air out. Use air conditioning when necessary
A mobile home without AC and lots of shade can become an "oven" on a daily basis.
Inexpensive cooling takes a lot of research as there are numerous ways to cool a mobile home but some are more efficient than others and many suggestions may be nice but will/could be expensive.
Put a bowl of ice cubes in front of each fan, turn the fan on high , the fan will blow cool air into the room from the ice . You will have to put fresh ice in the bowl periodically.
You may want to try a trick my daddy taught me when I moved out of the house. Place a box fan in the window so it pulls the hot air OUT of the house...not so you feel the cool air blowing on you. It sounds counter-intuitive, but it works.
He told me that was how he cooled my childhood home. What did I know..I just knew it was cool in the house in the summer....I had no clue how he did it :)
I used his method in every apartment, townhouse and house. In my current house, would still be using the fan method, except when I got married, my new hubby won the battle and we got air conditioning in the house (which I HATE by the way--too expensive and it is ALWAYS too cold for me).
You may need to try different windows to find the one that gets you the maximum fan cooling going for you. Mine worked best in a window that got the most shade. If it was super hot and humid, I would put a second fan in the opposite side of the space to do the same thing.
I was always cool as a cucumber!! Sadly with air conditioning, I am always putting on layers and sleep with blankets all year round. I would so love to go back to the fan days...but happy hubby, happy life right :)
Hope this helps you keep cool this summer!!
We do the same thing. Fans point out during the hot part of the day and then we spin them around as soon as the outside air is cooler than inside. Although every summer seems to be hotter and we may have to invest in A/C one of these years.
