I have a Kenmore refrigerator, model number 2537889. The freezer is cool, but starting to melt. The refrigerator itself is cool to the touch. The compressor and fan are running. I cleaned the coils. Anyone have an idea what could be wrong?

I do not know how old your Kenmore is but I have had similar problems and I was told to completely defrost my freezer as sometimes the ice builds up overtime even with good models.
This takes several hours and is very messy as there will be a LOT of water drain from your freezer. You will have to have ice to pack any food from freezer and refrigerator as for sure it will take several hours.
You will need lots of newspaper to catch the water from the freezer - leave the doors open and even use hair dryer (NOT on hot) or fans blowing into the freezer.
There are several very good YouTube videos that might give you some suggestions as well as lots of links that may have some ideas.

You might try contacting Sears Service Center (use your zip code) and ask for help or call one of the other parts sites.

The frig probably needs more coolant added to the lines. Check with a heating/air rep and they will check your frig. Sometimes, it needs more added to it to work properly.
