Will Spanish elm wooden cupboards work with yellow walls? Are white cupboards difficult to maintain? Can we use white kitchen cupboards with beige appliances, fridge and stove, and yellow walls?

I don't think so! I have different style than many others though so you may want to try asking others. I think the brown will really bring out the yellow & brown & yellow make a good match in my opinion.
