My front living room has a reddish five by nine area rug on top of wood flooring. It runs into the kitchen, which runs into the family room. I have oak cabinets in the kitchen with black, white, and grey table top. What do you think would be the best color for the tile floor in the kitchen?

If you use the same flooring as you have in your living room, the house will seem bigger. If you really want to use tile, you can get a similar effect by using tile the same color as the wood flooring in the living room.
Best of luck!

I need help in choosing what color tiles to have. The color of my wall I wish to paint is Soft Apple (Dulux for the living room) and for the hall way a lighter shade of green. I wish to have the same tiles which will lead from the door step to the end of the kitchen. The kitchen is going to be painted a chocolate brown colour. Can you please give me any advice on which colour tile I should go for.

We used a mottled green and brown ceramic tile that looks great with my mossy green walls and dark walnut 70s cabinets. My friend has a similar color tile laminate with apple green walls in the kitchen and tan (latte?) colored walls in the eating area and it looks good there too.
I went to Home Depot and bought one tile each of the four colors I was interested in, took them home, and put them on the floor so I could see how they looked in my kitchen. Once I picked the one I liked, I just returned the other three for credit towards my final tile purchase. I really recommend this, because the one I was leaning towards at the store didn't look nearly as nice once I got it home.
I have a light oak kitchen and angorian black granite worktops. What colour tiles should I go for?

I would like opinions. I have to choose between a beige tile with a little of light gray marbled look, or a brown tile with beige and light brown marbled look for my kitchen. I also have white cabinets and a beige creamy counter top with specks of dark brown, rusty orange brown, and light gray and white in it. It is a acrylic solid surface counterpart called Maui quartz.
I am looking to paint the walls a terra cotta orangy brown color or a green. I have a bronze faucet and am thinking about putting bronze knobs on my cabinets. Which tile and paint color do I choose? The kitchen size is 11 feet x 23 feet. Please help!
