What color should I paint my kitchen walls? The cabinets are white and the appliances are white. The floor is a light oak wood looking vinyl. I am thinking of candy red. Is this too much red? There will be only one whole wall and just spaces over the cabinet tops. Thanks for any advice.

I think red would be a fun color. You could then get red gingham or red striped kitchen accessories. It will be beautiful!
It is your kitchen. You should have it as you want it. Red is a strong color, and it looks good with white. I have a kitchen that is red and white. The walls are sponge painted red over white, the appliances are white, and the cupboards are white.
If you care about the psychology of colour, do a bit of research. If you prefer your kitchen to be more relaxing, think about a different choice?
Red is a great color and it is your kitchen so you need to feel comfortable in there. I had basically the same color cabinets and floor in my kitchen and painted it a dark red and got tired of it really quickly so changed it to a buttercream and used red as the accent which worked for me.
I think candy red would be great especially since most everything else is white. Go for it!
I like accents of candy red in a kitchen like candy red Kitchen Aid mixer, toaster, oven - etc. I don't see myself enjoying an entire wall of candy red hue but perhaps a darker burgundy to bring out all the white cabinets/appliances. Although I am not a fan of candy red hue, different is good!
Ultimately, it is your kitchen and decision. The good thing is that if you don't like the color choice you could always repaint!
