Kitchen Paint Color Advice?

I am buying a house and the kitchen is very blue. There are blue counter tops, blue walls, too much blue. I cannot afford to replace the cabinets or counter tops. I plan on painting the cabinets an off white (as well as the wainscotting around the kitchen seating area that does not have cabinets), but I am unsure what to paint the top half of the kitchen because of the blue counters. It is a country home so I would prefer to keep that tone rather than modern.
