We just bought a house with medium oak cabinets, brown countertop, and dark brown wood floor. We are going to replace the white appliances with stainless steel. We are also removing the fluorescent light fixture and opening up the tray ceiling to install a ceiling fan. We are wondering about backsplash and a paint colors. Do you have any suggestions? It is a nice kitchen, but a little on the smaller size from what we are used to. There are plenty of cabinets and counterspace, just spaced smaller.

I would use any bright color for the walls and a light color back splash to appear larger (yellow, light blue, white and taupe).
Those sounds like terrific new installations! Congratulations.
I envision cool colours, in particular greys, silvers, and powder blues - maybe a hint of yellow for highlight.
A sage green paint color or some gray/green color would look great.
Nice space! I am into Cobalt blue with yellow and orange pops. The paint can be the pale yellow. There is sea glass tiles that incorporate the blue, yellow, and oranges. It can be stunning! Very classy!
