My son got dish soap in our kitten's eye. It is now swollen and half closed. I can't afford a vet bill. Does any body have any suggestions?

Your kitty's eye may now be infected and requires veterinarian care now to avoid further problems such as blindness. Caring for pets also means the responsibility for providing immediate and proper medical care for all medical problems.
Please take your kitty to your vet immediately as it is in pain and suffering-immediate medical care now will avoid possibly more expensive medical treatment down the road.
Unfortunately, I have to agree that keeping a kitten requires having finances available for veterinary expenses. It's not just accidents like this one. There are also vaccinations, boosters, worm treatments, spay or neuter, and so forth. You also need a breakaway collar and tags.
Flush it out with water and keep an eye on it. If it gets worse then bring it in. You dont have to bring your pet in for every little thing and you dont have to feel like you shouldnt own a pet just because you cant afford to all the time.
