Supplies:
- 1 piece of fabric
- 1 piece of fabric for lining or coordinating fabric
- pins
- scissors
- sewing machine
- needle
- thread
Steps:
- Print copy of pattern from provided link on project page. You can make a small or large purse. The one shown in this post is a small purse. Cut the pattern out. Pin pattern piece to printed fabric, which has been folded in half. Cut out two pieces. Repeat for coordinating fabric or lining.
- Pin and sew around the printed fabric from one notch to the other. Clip around the curves. Repeat these steps with the lining pieces. Sew across the top of the two handles at the top of the pattern. Repeat for the lining. Turn lining inside out and insert into the inside of the other fabric, tucking into the bottom and matching the handles together.
- Pin and sew around the "neck" of the purse on both the outer fabric and the lining pieces. Turn the purse right side out through one of the openings. There will be two openings--one on either side of the purse.
- Turning in the raw edges on both the outer fabric and the lining, pin or hand baste together. Sew around all edges.
