Humane Society Rescue, at 9 mo. old.
What does your pet like to do for fun?
Run around our little half acre so much and so fast that there is a banked race track indicating her favored route. Inside it's about the same!
Do you have anything else to share about your pet?
We reluctantly adopted her having had a bad hound experience in the past. But she was nearing the end of her welcome at the Society... and she just seemed to be utterly shaken and exhausted by the yelping and barking of the other dogs. Outside in the quiet of the running area she became a different dog. It's been a love affair ever since! She is bold and yet sensitive and has fended off raccoons, porcupines, and unwanted guests on our property, without ever getting hurt herself. What a champ! In the image she is fending off a dragon beetle. These unwanted critters can shoot a short stream of two chemicals that mix to become a 'pepper spray' like defense. We only noticed near the end of the battle what was happening.
