How and when did you get your pet?
We rescued Lady from a transient woman. The people in the neighborhood called that woman Grandma. Grandma would walk past our house on a regular basis while walking Lady. I already had a male Chihuahua, named Buddy. Buddy was young and in need of a girlfriend. When Buddy met Lady, it was love at first sight. Grandma would bring Lady to visit Buddy a few times a week. Lady had no collar, or leash. Grandma would walk her with a wire tied around her neck. It wasn't long until Grandma asked if my wife would like to buy Lady, because she said that she couldn't afford to take care of her. The poor little dog was filthy from living outside and was completely infested with fleas. Grandma only wanted $25. We thought that buying Lady was a wise thing to do for two reasons. One, it would rescue a very sweet dog from having to live in the street and two, this was Buddy's girlfriend. He loves her so much, that it would really hurt all of us to see anything bad happen to Lady. This was June, 2013.
What does your pet like to do for fun?
Lady now enjoys living a good life. She is no longer living in the streets and eating from trash cans. She has a warm, comfortable bed to sleep in, gets baths regularly, gets her toenails trimmed, eats good quality dog food, enjoys an occasional rawhide chew and absolutely loves bacon flavored treats. For fun, she enjoys running through the house and wrestling with Buddy.
Do you have anything else to share about your pet?
Lady is now the proud mamma of six of the cutest little puppies I've ever seen. They were born on November 22, 2013. She did an amazing job with the delivery. They were all born with no problems. They are all happy and healthy. She does a very good job taking care of the puppies. She really is an awesome little dog. She has gone from living in the streets, to having a warm, loving home and is now a mother, thanks to my wife, myself and of course, Buddy. We all love her.
