This has been in my family for a long time and belonged to my great-great aunt. I haven't been able to find much information on the style or value. Any insight is appreciated.

To start off the serial number on these chests if read backward will give you the date it was made. Today you can find many cedar chests listed for sale on different sites like eBay and Esty. A lot of people will start the sales off with a very high price around #350 for the chest. However, if you look at the price most of the chest actually sell for these days you will find out that they are selling for $125-175 tops. That is the true value of your cedar chest.
Thank you. Am I reading it correctly that the date is 7/29/13? Assuming zero is the extra digit?
Your chest looks like it may have some issues which will lower the value and where you are located will have the final say in the value as some areas may still like items like this while other areas are still into smaller easily movable items.
You are correct on the date:
Serial #031927 reads 7/29/13
You can always verify the date with Lane Company but they will not usually supply any information about the chest (description/wood) but will provide information on changing the lock to be safe for children.
I would suggest listing your chest on sites like Craigslist, Facebook marketplace, letgo, offerup, etc as you can start with a higher price, maybe $450-$500 and lower it if necessary.
You can list on several sites just be sure it is in your area and list it as pick up only.
This is a beautiful one of a kind Lane. I could not locate a identical one, but I found several sites including eBay that have Lane chest asking $200 to $500. You could take your pictures to a antique sells/appraiser often this could be a free quote. here are a few links to what others are charging/asking for Lane Cedar chest.
Thank you for your response. I too havent seen one that looks like this! I think it is pretty unique.
If you have a Worthpoint membership (I don't and am not a fan) you can find out what yours sold for (if it sold in the last 5 years the value will be about the same). Here is a link:

They have theirs attributed to 1927--although they don't show the number so I am wondering if they made this style over a period of years and yours was from their second year in business--1913.
Usually the last digit is the plant number.
Anyhow, this a lovely specimen and surprisingly more than you would think are out there on the market in various conditions. The one listed above looks to be in amazing condition.
Hope chest values are all over the place and very supply and demand based. My friend had one from the 1970s and in Pittsburgh she could not give it away because there are so many. The older ones usually do fetch more if in good shape.
You could always start at $500 and take best offer, which will be somewhere (my guess) in the mid to low $100s.
Post back how your sale goes! Thanks for sharing!
Hi,
This Lane cedar chest is beautiful! I brings back memories for me, when I used to see my grandmother's cedar chest. I agree that you should be able to get around $200.00 for this chest. They are listed on Amazon, as getting more that $200.00.
