I've been growing several beautiful avocado trees in pots and noticed one my trees started showing brown leaves. The plant was not doing well. I decided to plant it in the ground. My backyard has many different types of fruit trees. I live in south Texas zone eight. I don't know if a fungus is attacking it or there is a lack of nutrients. I would appreciate advice.

Needs Water and a good feeding and perhaps more space to grow!
It privacy needs a bigger pot. It is getting root bound.
It needs the soil changed it has salt burn ,the salt accumalates to much salt turning the leaves brown.Time to fertilize. You should fertilize 3 times a year.Follow it with a good watering.
You can still save the tree but you will need to dig it up again. I believe you used the same soil that was in the pot when you put it in the ground. Go get a bag of planting soil. Dig the tree up and check the roots. You can hit this on the ground several times to get the open and spread out. This is good for the tree and will not damage it.
