I make a larger serving of steel cut oatmeal to have quick breakfasts throughout my week. Sometimes, I'll use some of it by frying some up in an oiled pan as pancakes! It is purely oatmeal. I do add cinnamon and added blueberries to my oatmeal after I make it but nothing else different is added.
It takes a little longer then pancakes on medium/low but it will crisp around the edges and tastes great topped with either powdered sugar, fruit (fresh or frozen) or pure maple syrup. It is also a looser pancake but that's fine with me.
Great way to get oatmeal into kids or stubborn spouses too! ;-)
