My Brother Model 7300 electric typewriter powers on. The space bar, tabs, return, and shift all work fine. However, no letter or number key does anything. This is the Correct-o-Ball xl-1. Inside it looks totally mechanical so no electronics involved that I can see. Any help?

Some of those keys may have dirt or crumbs in there. You have to take the key cap off to clean it. Here is an article that tells you how. www.justanswer.com/
