Your Pet's Breed
Liam is a mix breed. His mother is dachshund, and min-pin. His father is corgi and rat terrier.

How and when did you get your pet?
My daughter and the girl across the street are very good friends, her mother loves my daughter, They have a male dog named Nicky. We had another neighbor that lived a few houses down and she had a female dog Samantha. The dogs got out and Nicky got her pregnant.

My daughter Olivia wanted one of the puppies, I wanted a male puppy. Liam was the only male and was the smallest. After a few weeks she wasn't sure if he was going to make it, so I took him home where we could really care for him. He was born on my husband's mother's birthday 2 years after she passed away. Liam's mother and I have the same name, we knew he was meant to be part of our family.

What does your pet like to do for fun?
Liam is a funny dog. First he likes to have us chase him around where he runs under the kitchen table where we can't get him, occasionally coming out to try and run past us. He loves playing with tennis balls, I was trying to teach him how to play fetch. My husband noticed that the dog taught me to play fetch instead. If I throw a toy, Liam will run and get it, only instead of bringing it to me, he throws the toy and has me go get it. Lol! He really likes standing on his back legs, and will dance around for a bit. His favorite toy is his rubber duck that came with his bathrobe.

Do you have anything else to share about your pet?
We rescued an American staffordshire terrier named Duke when Liam was 4 months old. Duke was very timid at first, he wouldn't even come over to get a treat, so I gave one to Liam, so that Duke could see it was okay, I took out another one for Duke. Liam ran over to Duke with the treat in his mouth, he tossed it to him then came back for his treat. Because Duke is so much bigger he ate his treat faster, Liam would go over to Duke with the treat half in his mouth and shared his treat with Duke. They did that for a long time.

He really is a special dog, his little tail starts wagging, when he sees his shirts, he loves wearing sweatshirts during winter. He carries a teddy bear around when he's tired, or when he doesn't feel good.
