My lights keep going off and on, but none of the breakers are tripping off. Not all power is lost. The TV in den stays on. The stove, refrigerator and the power in the washroom stay on, but everything else goes off. What could this be?

A breaker will trip on overcurrent. It will require you to reset it. This is not the problem you are having.
You have a circuit that keeps opening, either the hot or neutral. I would assume these lights are all on the same breaker. This can be caused by a bad switch or wiring connection. It could be heat, cold or vibration.
If the power comes back and goes away while you do nothing, I would think it is a bad connection.
Contact an electrician to: identify what circuit is bad, kill power to that circuit and to check connections and switches.
Before you pay for an electrician to come in and check... call your local power company and have them check the neutral/ground wire at your house, and in your meter box.
