My living room color is a cream color and at the TV it's dark maroon. What curtain color will match my living room?

I would get white or cream to match the tv but most likely my curtains would match my sofa set. like mine is green and my curtains are white with green leaves.
I would also go with a white to make the room look bigger. I prefer drapes to provide a subtle background to the room rather than stand out and yell "look at me, look at me".
