I have brown furniture and tan colored tile in my living room. Currently the walls are a very slight off white, but I'd like to paint them a different color. I just don't know what would look good. I would love some ideas.

What color are the window coverings? Is there a color in them that you could pick up? Since I am not fond of yellows/ golds, I won't recommend them, but a warm coral might work. Also something in the green or blue family, and then repeated in pillows. This would pull the room together. Painting strips on the walls and ceiling would enliven the room. Hope this helps. With the tile and furniture colors, you can pick just about anything, but I do think the room needs color.
Dark colours are very trendy. Maybe you could do one feature wall in a dark brown or a rusty red, and then the other walls in lighter shade. You could add colour with your paintings on the wall, throws and pillows.
