My livingroom is 12 x 24 with large windows at each end and 2 archways on the same side entering from the front and back entrances. My love seats are cream and brown plaid and the Lazy Boy is medium brown leather. All the furniture has medium oak wood. What color do I paint my walls? They are a taupe color at present.

I would paint three walls a cream or tan and the fourth wall a different color. They call this an accent wall. You can choose many colors, because brown and cream will go with many colors.
I am imagining a mint green wall, either as an accent wall as previously said, or all of them. A light yellow sounds nice as well.
Depending on the size of the room, an accent wall color is a great choice, but if you have a small room you might not want a dark color at all. It will make the room feel smaller.
Light beige
Sounds like you could go with an accent wall or half a wall (long side) or place the accent in the middle of one wall - that is maybe behind your sofa.
With your colors even a blue would look nice and add some solid color pillows. If blue is not your choice then any earth tones would look good.
