The best Valentine activity we had in high school was putting up a Love Mailbox. Receive your love notes and valentine goodies through this cute looking mailbox.
Supplies:
- Scrap cardboards
- Art papers
- printed paper wrappers
- glue
- Tape
- Marker
- puncher (optional)
- scissors
- strings or ribbon
Steps:
- Cut and fold the cardboard into a mailbox shape. Wrap it with colored art paper.
- For the cover, I used the side of the cardboard that has a crease in it so it's easier to open and close.
- Cover the flap then make a hole in its tip. Use a paper puncher or poke it with a scissor. Do the same on the top center edge of the box. (see photo) Attach a string through the holes to lock the cover of your mailbox.
- Instead of a flag, I used a moving sign where you will be able to know if there is mail. Move the heart left and right. (If you want to know how to make this, check out "Valentine Pullout Greeting Card"). Now stick on the side of your mailbox.
- Decorate the box with hearts.
- You can now put your valentine cards inside.
