I decided to make my Thanksgiving mashed potatoes from scratch but, after boiling the peeled and cut up potatoes, my mixer died! I ended up draining the potatoes in a large strainer and riced them by pushing through the holes with a meat tenderizer. You could even use a tea cup if you needed to. Add your warmed milk or half and half and butter, yum!
Perfectly smooth mashed potatoes! Might try it on my sweet potatoes next.
