Can you make a adult diaper out of old towels or old sheets? How do you fold them to put on a elderly adult? Would Velcro straps reversible with tape on both sides hold them on for a tight fit? If not how many diaper pins are needed? Just wondering if Snappy's elastic bands are available for adults?

You can use several different types of material but most of the patterns/instructions are for using a sewing machine.
- Most of the instructions leave a little to be desired unless you are pretty good with a sewing machine.
- There are some patterns available so you might want to take a look at buying one of those.
- I would suggest you go to one of the big craft stores and see if they have patterns as you can see if they would work for you.
- Using Velcro is the easiest method for making and using.
- Free instructions are good but only if you can understand them.
- If you do not have a sewing machine and if you are going to be needing very many I would suggest you talk to a sewing person that might help you out.
- If you do not know a "sewing person" you can place a free ad on your local Craigslist stating your project and see if someone can help you.
- I would also place an ad on Nextdoor.com.
- Here are some links to look at.

You can do it by using an adult disposable diaper as the pattern and microfiber or fleece as the fabric next to the skin. Instructions are here : www.livestrong.com/.../
