Making Easter Eggs and Cookie Cutter Paintings

Total Time: 20 minutes to paint and a couple hours to dry

Yield: 3 paintings

Supplies:

• 3 sheets of white construction paper
• finger paint (any Easter colors)
• paint brushes (1 for each color)
• Easter cookie cutters (rabbits, chicks, Easter baskets, eggs)
• 2+ plastic Easter eggs
• 2 large paper plates

Steps:

1. Add different paint colors to two paper plates. Allow space between colors, as the paint will spread. Dip one half of a plastic Easter egg in any color. Then press the egg to the paper. Add as many of that color circles as you like.

 
2. Use additional egg halves to add different color circles. You can keep the circles seperate or overlap them. Different size egg halves could also be used!

3. Use smaller tin cookie cutters to make colorful rabbits and chicks! Same as with the eggs, dip the cookie cutters in the paint and press them all over the page.

 
4. If you use larger cookie cutters, you can leave them as outlines like the smaller ones. To make them more colorful, try making them two different colors! Or you can use paint brushes to fill them in with details, like the main photo.
