How can I make a glaze out of my store bought cream cheese without using shortening?

This Cream Cheese Glaze recipe got a 5 star rating from another website. Thought you might like to try it.

Ingredients:
4 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 to 4 tablespoons milk

Preparation:
Beat cream cheese until very creamy. Beat in powdered sugar. Stir in vanilla. Add 3 tablespoons milk. Totally combine. Add more milk to get desired consistency for drizzling this Cream Cheese Glaze on a cake.
