This fun journal is for writing and even stores pencils or pens!
Total Time: 1 hour
Supplies:
- chip board or heavy cardboard
- 1 jeans pocket
- cardstock
- pieces of ribbon
- fabric for outside and inside
- notebook paper cut to fit
- flower decor, buttons, etc.
- glue
Steps:
- Cut two pieces of chipboard to the size of desired journal cover and back.
Cut two pieces cardstock, 1/2" smaller than chipboard cover and back.
- Cut two pieces of fabric for front and back of chipboard, 1 1/2" larger than size of chipboard. Sew around three sides of the jeans pocket to the front piece of fabric, leaving the top open. Make or purchase decor for the front of your journal cover. I used drier sheets cut into three different size circles and used a spray paint mist to color. Sew a button in the center. Use two silk flower leaves. Glue flower and leaves onto cover.
- Glue fabric to chip board. Glue scrapbook paper (optional) to cardstock.
Glue inside front to front cover and glue inside back to back cover. - Cut notebook paper to desired size.
- Bind (at Staples or Office Max, etc.) journal pages with a clear plastic sheet or cardstock to front cover and back cover. Glue these pages to front and back cover. Add pieces of ribbon to binding for an additional touch.
