Making a Ziplock Garden or Aquarium

December 28, 2007

Bag aquarium.Quick, cheap, and easy kid craft for those rainy days or anytime.

Approximate Time 10 minutes

Supplies:

Instructions:

Take small snack size baggie (I used larger as that is what I had). Fill up with a little bit of hair gel. I used green as I was doing a garden. Add pre-cut flowers and, there you go, a portable squeezable garden.

If you have boys, cut out frogs shapes, etc. or use blue gel and do an underwater theme with fish.

Note: use foam or sponge shapes as little toys have sharp edges and could puncture the bag.

What a fantastic and very simple idea! I would suggest gluing it closed though, so that you don't end up with a gooey mess. This would be great for during church or other meetings where a quiet toy is needed.

I thought this was a great idea! I host a club every year and each year it has a different theme and last year it was ocean themed so i did you project. The kids really liked it.
