I have quite a bit of DMC floss stored in those floss away bags. I currently am using index card boxes and dividers, but would like something bigger. I would like to store them in a photo box storage. I recently bought 2 from a craft store, but they didn't have the steel adjustable follower block (what you use to make the files stand up straight). Does anyone know how to make one of these follower blocks? Any info would help.
Thank you.

I am not familiar with the term follower block. Are you talking about creating a hanging system where the photos sit on a metal guide and you slide them back and forth (like mini hanging folders)? In this case, the flosses would be suspended between the hangers and move back and forth?
I don't want to go down the wrong rabbit hole for you. I have to visualize things!
I know this is not what you are asking for, but when I was a huge cross stitch fiend in the 1980s, I kept my floss in a bait box....it was one of those boxes that had lots of squares and fit down into a closed box--I got plastic--but they had metal ones to.
It stacked two deep and had a clip closure, but you could buy them 3 or 4 deep.
I loved that system as it was portable and I could stash it behind my car seat when I used to take small samplers when I traveled.
I don't know if they still make these, but I see them all the time at the flea markets and at yard sales for a dollar.
My friend's hubby who was an engineer, had her flosses in this system and he helped me copy it for myself.
Best thing I ever did!
I'm not sure that I understand exactly what you are looking for but if you are planning to use this as a filing box then something like this may work.
