Is he neutered? If so, spray his "favorite" spots with vinegar. I know it's a smelly fix but it does work.

In addition to being neutered, make sure he gets out plenty and goes on lots of walks. They will instinctually mark while walking and it will leave their bladders empty. Did you have a dog previously?
