Look and see if there is a plate on it that will give you the make and model number. You can also take it to a sewing machine repair shop.
I'm sorry but this is insufficient information for anyone to do research to help you find a manual.
Please provide pictures of your machine as well as model numbers/serial numbers if possible.
There are too many vintage sewing machines using American in their name unless we have more information to search.
