I inherited this mower after my brother passed away. He refurbished it as you can see. I have had it for about 20 years. I cannot find any manufacturer's name on it. As depicted in the one picture it says Pat.d Nov 28, 1899. I am just curious if anyone knows anything about this mower and what its value might be.
Thanks

Sorry for your loss. Your brother did a good job on this mower. It appears to have a lot of newer parts and older parts. There is not a lot of the original pieces, a few , making this piece very hard to give a brand.
It is very difficult to offer advice on value of a vintage lawnmower because you will never find 2 identical mowers that have sold or in the same condition and rarely find 2 older mowers located in the same area and where the mower is located will be a big part of the value as sales are regional and you may or may not be in an area that is into reel mowers as it takes low growing grass to be able to use one of these.
As a general when someone buys a reel mower they mainly want to know that it is in good cutting condition and some well know brand names do sometimes sell for more money.
I'm sure you know this is not the best time to be trying to sell a mower so values/sales will probably be better in the spring. Push/reel mowers do not seem to be fast sellers but sometimes it does happen.
I'm not sure if your mower is a Diamond Edge or a Norleigh Diamond lawnmower but could have been a combination of these names when this mower was made.
I did find an advertisement which, I believe has a picture of this mower in the leaflet. The ad is dated 1910 so your mower could have been made somewhere near that date.

As to value; I think you would just have to decide what you would like to have for your mower and post it at that price with offers consider and local pick up only. Start with a higher price - $350
Let it run for a few weeks and if no offers then lower the price and wait again. You will need good closeup pictures of the full mower, front, side, handles and mower parts.
