From the Maytag help website:
F7 E1 Code in display:
This code indicates a motor speed sensing error, the motor can not achieve the correct speed for the cycle selection.
Have the shipping bolts been removed?
This error code indicates that the motor is having difficulty turning.
All four (4) shipping bolts and the plastic spacers must be removed from the rear of the washer before you operate it. Each unit is shipped from the factory with four bolts, which are designed to secure the washer during shipping.

Another website Sears Expert says, to unplug and replug in the power cord.
If the problem still, do you still have warranty for someone to come out and check your washing machine.
If it is still under warranty, I would caution you against doing anything you do yourself could void your warranty. In the paperwork they gave you with your washer their should be a service center number, if you call that I am sure they can direct you on how to proceed.
