I have tried to "like" coffee for many, many years; the smell of it brewing is wonderful, but I have never been able to acquire a taste for it. My daughter, however, recently insisted I try a McDonald's caramel frapuccino, even though it has coffee in it. Surprisingly, I loved it! I've had several since, but because it's a bit pricey, I'd love to make it myself. Do any TF family members have a recipe you could share? I sure would appreciate your help! Blessings.

I found this recipe at www.food.com I don't know if it tastes like McDonald's but you could probably tweek it to your taste.
Caramel Frappuccino
1/2 cup cold coffee
3 tablespoons sugar
1/2 cup milk
2 cups ice
3 tablespoons caramel sundae syrup
whipped cream
Directions:
1
Combine all ingredients into electric blender.
2
Blend drink until ice is crushed and drink is smooth.
3
Serve in coffee cups and top with whipped cream and caramel syrup (if desired).
4
Add straw for ease in drinking.
Here's the recipe I've used for quite awhile. I prefer using 'or more to taste' of both the sugar and caramel but others I've served it to thought what I like is too sweet - LOL ;-)
Caramel Frapuccino
1/2 cup cold coffee
2 tbsp sugar, or more to taste
1/2 cup milk
2 cups crushed ice
2 tbsp caramel ice cream topping syrup, or more to taste
Whipped cream
Combine first five ingredients in a blender and blend until drink is smooth.
Top with whipped cream and then drizzle with more caramel syrup.
Thank you so much! I can't wait to try the recipes. Any thought about what kind of coffee to buy? Would "instant" be o.k., or do I have to buy a coffee pot and do the whole "brewing" thing?
Thanks again. Blessings...
Caseye, try it with instant first then try purchasing a cup of regular coffee 'to go' from anywhere and try it that way too :-) If you like the regular brewed coffee flavor better than the instant then spend the money to purchase a coffee maker, filter and ground coffee and save the instant for 'in a pinch' :-)
