Any idea how to measure 1/2# of Crisco shortening? Or also how to measure it when using the shortening sticks?
Thank you.

1 cup of shortening or butter will equal 1/2 pound. If you are using sticks. It would be 2 sticks because 1 stick equals 1/2 cup.
I cant image what you are baking that uses 1/2 pound of crisco as opposed to the usual measurements of tablespoons or cups. But, 1/2 a pound is 8 ounces. A tablespoon of Crisco is 12 grams. You would need 227 grams to equal 8 ounces, so 227/12+18.91. So you would need just a smidgen under 19 tablespoonsfull.
The sticks have measurements going up the side.
Or, you could use a food scale and measure it out.
The shortening sticks should have markings. The solid shortening should be measured in a measuring cup.
You can still measure in a measuring cup.
