Medi Cal Supplemental Patient Assistance Programs?

I too am scheduled for cataract surgery and am looking for assistance to cover costs MediCal doesn't cover. There must be a solution for someone who is low income, disabled, and on SSI. Any direction would be greatly appreciated.

You could apply for medical assistance, also you could go to a social worker at the hospital where your getting it done and see what they can do to help you as they do assist people in any and all incomes and they would know programs it can be done with.

Hello - I hope your eyesight will improve greatly with cataract surgery - I had a big improvement!

Please take a trip to the hospital before you have surgery as they may be able to help but before is better than after you get a bill.

Maybe you have a senior service center that can help - they should be listed in the phone book or on the internet.

Visit your church as they may have a list of associations for things like this. Good luck and report back on your success.
