I am retired and have enrolled in Medicare Parts A and B, but have kept my federal BCBS as a secondary insurer. Now I am about to travel on a cruise. Do I have any coverage for health issues while I am away?

Medicare only provides medical coverage in the US. Your other insurance may have out of the country coverage, however, the best way to find out is to contact the company. You can also purchase additional medical insurance for possible illness while on your cruise. Do this now to avoid possibly forgetting and have problems down the road.
Medical insurance for travel outside of your country is very inexpensive, at least it is here in Canada. Some group health plans provide this already; we do have extra health insurance to cover things that are not covered by our national health plans (such as chiropractic services, prescription drugs, dental services, eyeglasses, ambulance services, travel insurance).
