We made strawberry and blueberry preserves this year and after finishing up a jar of preserves, I wash the lid and put it in the drawer. The lids can't be used for canning any more but I have found other uses for them.
They are great for leveling objects. You can use one or stack more as needed. I use them under the legs of my electric skillet to level the hot oil. The food cooks more evenly when the oil is level. I also use them in the refrigerator to level Jell-O.
