I have the same exact recipe, except I combine all ingredients, except the butter and vanilla, in a blender for about 30 seconds to a minute. It comes out smooth and creamy, and ready for easy microwave cooking. The butter and vanilla are stirred in after pudding has thickened. My favorite recipe.
For butterscotch: use brown sugar.
